LOL: Malphite receives a face wash on Wild Rift, although there is no news for the PC version

It has been more than a decade since our beloved pebble, the fragment of the monolith also called Malphite, appeared in League of Legends. Since then it has barely moved and some of its appearances – the oldest ones – have aged pretty badly. But that could be about to change. A new splashart has been seen for the aspect of Malphite obsidian by Riot Games… but not in League of Legends. It will be in Wild Rift, the mobile version of the MOBA, where this update will be held.

A close update for the stone monster?

It is too early to get excited, but we can expect this update, even if it is only in splasharts, it also reaches League of Legends. You also have to keep in mind that the teams that work in the PC version and the mobile version of the game are not the same. Some aspects will never reach one and vice versa . However, this appearance is common in both, so we can legitimately assume that this aspect will have an update of its splashart (as was the newly annie Gothic case).

As you can see above, some splasharts have aged pretty badly: Malphite clover, reef, marble and obsidian. These are the first skins champion and, of course, the latter are updated and really are not worth changing them as such.

Despite his antiquity, the champion has never lost the love of the players. It is the 69th most popular character (which is honorable since the crack has 159 champions) with 7% pick in all ranges (for 4.2% of bans) and has a comfortable rate of victories of 51% . Therefore, it would not be surprising that the study will finally give finally something of love to the poor piece of giant rock.
